Otaku 5-0: Kawaii-kon 2009 Post-Mortem

Aloha everybody!

In our final podcast episode covering Kawaii-kon 2009, I am joined on the panel by Kekumanshoyu (who works double-duty as Assistant Director of Registration & Assistant Director of Staffing/Operations for Kawaii-kon.)

This episode posed an unusual conundrum for me. We ended up with 90+ minutes of footage, and due to our, "80-minute episode policy", I had to edit some parts out. So, what you have here is a pretty good distillation of what was discussed.

For all you aspiring podcasters out there, one of the most important principles to keep in mind in the post-production process is FINDING A BALANCE. Case in point: Because Kira (the Anime/Manga Contributor of our podcast) takes up a lot of time in this episode, I had to balance out his musings with those of Jupiter (who had her share of comments to make about the kon.)

Hi, I mentioned your site on the KawaiiKon forum under both Open Topics and Suggestion Box.
I think hearing your comments especially from the Kon goer's point of view will give exceptional help to those searching for feedback on how events went and situations were handled. Thanks for the very informative and entertaining podcast episodes.
